How to Stop Scrolling on Instagram? 3 Easy Steps

1. Make the below setting changes

• Open the app
• Tap the three lines (menu) in the top right
• Go to Content Preferences
• Select Hidden words and phrases
• Add “#” as a muted word to block most posts with hashtags (covers much of Explore and Reel content)
• Add common words like “and,” “or,” “post,” “when,” etc., for extra filtering
• Toggle Snooze suggested feed for 30 days to stop suggested Reels from appearing in your main feed. Set a reminder to do this every 30 days.

2. Install an app that blocks your feed and reels like ridan.ai, and onesec.

3. Browse Instagram only on desktop. The UX is inconvenient so it makes doomscrolling inconvenient.
